I can show you how to paint a portrait, in oils, either in a one to one situation or in groups. At my studio or at your home.
In essence it works like this: We start from a clear detailed photograph. Which we then transfer onto either canvas paper or if you are feeling confident onto boxed canvas. If you are not confident about your drawing skills, I can do this for you.
I then show you how to mix colour, apply paint and how to shade and blend.
At the same time I am also painting the same image on my canvas, thus showing you first hand, how to execute the various steps of the painting. So in fact you’ll end up with two portraits.
All materials are supplied.
Home lessons are available only in the West Midlands/Shropshire and London. Studio lessons are in South Shropshire.
One to one lessons are £45 per hour .
Group lessons are £30 per hour.
